I really like drawing dragons that look like they’ve been bent out of a paperclip, I think its my thing.

I thought I’d apply my strange vision to another anime dragon. I threw in a bit of ukiyo-e inspiration too

When I watched the The Question I just kept thinking about my favourite vintage lesbians.

The sequels are very shiny but I miss the old Hiccup and Toothless

I ain’t finishing May without sharing this mermayfly nymph. When mermayfly nymphs finally venture to the surface and shed their disgusting exoskeleton, they transform into a beautiful mayfly fairy. For one day only. Then they perish.

If I get 3 mermaids done for this entire month I’m calling it a success 👌🏆 #mermay #mermay2018 #mermaid #fish #ink #inkdrawing #sketchbook #artistsoninstagram

My interpretation of Shenron from Dragon Ball Z. Initially for a Character Design Challenge theme a few months back but I never got round to finishing it back then.

My influences include tropical fish, colourful insects and pretzels.

A Rainbow Belt Dragon

An entry for this months CDC on the theme of Alice in Wonderland.  I went for the March Hare because I’m not letting my many years of hare drawing practice go to waste. I think I submitted it within 1 minute of the deadline, which, to be fair, is better going than previous attempts.
The marble texture on the waistcoat is placeholder until I can make my own marbled paper. You can find the texture here. I really like the idea of using marble paper as a fabric texture. Its commonly found in Victorian book art but also 1960-70′s psychedelic art where I draw a lot of my inspiration. I don’t think I’ve quite got the hang of it but maybe with practice I can marry the two time periods in illustrative harmonious bliss.

I’ve been hoarding art again

I have been suddenly blessed with with a digital inking style that doesn’t make me want to rip my eyes out.
